A thankful heart

Lord, thank you for fathering me. In all my ups and downs You are there. This year has been both difficult and rewarding but I know the second could not have been experienced without going through the first, first. O, the value of listening to your direction! I pray that listening will be a little higher on my list of priorities this year and that You will give me the strength and courage to be obedient. Thanks for what You are doing not only in my life but the life of my children and my wife; bring us all closer to understanding our need for You but continue to be gentle as we discover who You are and who You have made us to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
