Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
(Hebrews 2:14 NLT)
God loved us so much that He became like us. It wasn’t enough to tell us He understood, so He showed us by being born as a frail baby. As such He was depended upon His mother and father and He honored them as He grew. Even though they did not understand His purpose and as He grew it became obvious who was frail He still loved them. Yet nothing kept Him from doing the work He came to do because He was also God - a great mystery. How could God being holy and righteous become like a man who is frail and sinful? Jesus knew no sin yet He took the sins of the world so that we might be called the sons and daughters of God. Jesus came, He saw, and He conquered over sin and death because of His great love for us. Somewhere hidden in us all we have fantasized about a hero, a knight in shining armor who would come to rescue us or we have dreamed about being that hero, why do you think that is? It is because our spirits understand our need better than our flesh does and in accepting Christ Jesus and having Him live within us we have the purpose within us to bring that power to others so that the bondage of the enemy will be broken in their lives also. Of all the superheroes we watch on the big screen today none can compare to what Jesus has done, for even if they were real they could never save our souls and not one has felt what we feel. They fight for what is right but they know not empathy none except Jesus – no one will ever know our needs like Jesus does and no one has the power to free us from the bondage of an unseen enemy but Him. Jesus is my hero and so much more, He is the One my soul has been waiting for.
Since He Himself has gone through suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we are being tested.
(Hebrews 2:18 NLT)
For the LORD Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth.
