For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory.
(Colossians 1:27 NLT)
We belong to Christ Jesus, though this world can be cold and often a mist obscures our view in this we can be sure; the very purpose of God has been placed within our own hearts and Christ Jesus himself has walked before us and yet He stands with us even now as we face the unknown. The very thing the world searches for is hidden from them within this pilgrim’s heart. The world is busy with many things yet lacks direction, things are accomplished yet nothing gained but the value they seek is within the heart of those who have abandoned the world for the sake of seeking the things of God and one day this secret will be revealed and the world will know what they have been looking for was in their midst all along, over looked and disregarded as simple and weak. Was it not God that explained through Paul, “Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.” (1 Corinthians 1:27 NLT)
God will not share His glory with one who is foreign to His ways, His thoughts, His very character but instead calls all who are broken, who are discouraged, and without hope to seek His Son through the moving of His Holy Spirit so that they may gain new life and return back to the place God originally intended, to Himself and it is because of Jesus, God’s Son who lives in us, that we have this assurance of sharing His glory – the hope of mankind.
A psalm of David. Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night Your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Interlude Finally, I confessed all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Interlude Therefore, let all the godly pray to You while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. For You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control." Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD. So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey Him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!
(Psalms 32:1-11 NLT)
